THE LICENSING ELECTIONS.
In connection with the Nelson Licensing election next Tuesday it is announced by advertisement that the Temperance party have nominated Messrs N. A. M'Laren, T. Pcttit, R. Watson, and the Rev. B. L. Thomas, whose "ticket"' is tuu closing of the bars at 10 p.m. The candidates will address tlic elector? at the junction of Hardy and Trafalgar streets at eight o'clock tonight. The uther candidates are also invited to speak. Mr Win. Coleman, who peeks reelection to the Nelson Licensing Committee, announces that he is still in favour of ten o'clock closing of hotels, and a i'trict adherence to and administration of the Licensing laws.
