TENDERS FOB FURNISHING. The following tenders in connection with the furnishing of the new Home for Old People have been accepted by the sub-committee appointed by the Hospital and Charitable Aid Board : — E. Nalder and Co. : Flax mattresses, chairs (A^doz.), tables, washstands, and toilet sets. Strange and Co. (Christchurch) : Wire -woven mattresses, single-bed sheets, and double-bedsteads (tne latter conditional). Fleming and Sons : Kapoc pillows (4doz.), "Vosper" chair, couches, hearthrugs (4), looking glasses, hair brushes and combs. Everett Bros : Slips of carpet, linoleums. E. Buxton and Co : Quilts, spring roller and blinds, spittoons, fenders and wire door-mats. Page and Sons : Kapoc pillows (4 doz.), quilts (2doz.), chairs (4idoz.), sick ward chairs, cane lounges, linoleums for sick wards and staircase Bevt Tasker and Co. : Double-bed sheets, pillow-slips, blankets for single beds. Auckland Clothing and Drapery Co. : Blankets for double" beds (2 doz.), short window curtains, curtain rings, and poles, and hearthrugs (4). Tenders for linoleums for the corridors and for waterproof sheets have ot yeb bess ; accepted.
