RIVAL FOOTBALL CLUB.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING. 'I he annual meeting of the Rival Foot ball Club was held last evening at the Foresters Hall, a large number of members being present Letters were re- | ceived from Messrs Webb-Bo wen, Hounsell, and Bannehr, apologisng for nonattendance. Mr J. W, Richards occupied the chair. Xbe annual report and balance sheet were submitted by the Secretary, and adopted. Officers for the ensuing year were elected s follows: -Patron, Mr T. H. Bannehr; President, Dr Andrew ; VicePresidents, Messrs G. MaLhieson, J. E. Hounsell, H. Sanders^ W. Lock, E. S. Sherwood, A. A. Lucas, A. Trask ; Club Captain, J, W . Richards ; Hon Secretary and Treasurer G. Batchelor: Assistant Secretary, C. Barltrop; M Management Committee, Messrs Letherland, Thomson, Blineoe, Sherwood, Chisholm, and Jones ; Selection Commitee, Messrs Letherland, Blincoe, Chisholm (senior), B Richards, T. Jones, C. Barltrop (jupior), Nalder, Strawbridge, Spear (thirdclass) ; Delegates to N.R.U., W. Bannebr, P* Letherland, C. Sherwood, J, Richards, G. Batchelor. A trophy was presented to P, Hannigan as the best forward in the third-class team last season. Trophies were also presented for the coming season by Mr Hounsell and Mr Parmenter (seniors) and by Mr Leyien for the juniors. The following now members were elected :— McKialey. Lawrence, G. Hurley, T, Rowe, R. Fitzwilliam, G. Mansford, C. Dormer, Mathiescro, Sanders, Smith, Jeffriea. H. Chapman, Collins, Tree week. Mr W. R. Par mentor was made an honorary member of the Club. It was decided to open the season next Saturday, A vote of thanks to the Chairman concluded the meeting.
