Attempted Suicide.

Napier, This Day. [ James Coachman, a steerage passenger by the Rotorua, attempted to commit suicide on the voyage from the north. He lived two pistol shots at himself, one of which missed and the other grazed the right side side of his face. Beside him in his bunk was found a six chambered revolver witli four chambers still loaded. Coaohman was brought ashore this morning, and placed iv tho lockup . Tho revolver was ipurcbased when the Wyalong gold rush broke out, hut Coachman changing his mind, camo ou to New Zealand. No reason for the attempt is assigned, but Coachman was in a depressed condition, and suflored much from seasickuess on tho voyage.
