BOARD OF HEALTH.

A meeting of the Board of Hcalbh was held last evening, when there were presint His Worship bhe Mayor (ia bhe ohair), Ots Ba'gent, Piper, C. J, Harley, J, Harley, and Haddow. That a by law be qlso made providing that in all oases where neoeasary a proper reoeptiole for manure, to the satisfaotion of the Inspector, beoonßtruoted, and thafc in all oaßes where the Inspeotor omsiders that suoh a rtoeptao>e ia not neooseary no manure heap be kept within 10 feot of another person's property, or within SO feeb of aoy dwelling hoyse, and tbat the Sanitary Inspector be authorised to see that the manure from all manure heaps be periodically removed so as to oause no nuisa oe, and that in cases where they are in oloae proximity to dwelling houses the owners have notioe to remove them, 3. Tho clause was then adopted. Clauses 2 and 3 were also adopted after discussion. Tho Board then considered the un« sanitary Btate of certain premises referred to by the Sanitary Inspector in his report. It was resolved thab bhe owner of bhe pre> mises ba ordered by the Sinitary Inapeoto* to put them in a sanitary state at onoe. The Mayor said ha would go with the S nitary lospeotor aud wait on the owner of the premises. A report was read from the Sanitary Inspector with reference to a parson giving up the night soil servioe, ou the ground thab he oould not afford the fees. It was resolved that the paity be given three days' notioe that unlees he take the service again ho will be Bummsned. The Boird then adjourned.
