The following telegram reached us at half- past 11 o'clock last night : — Te Awamutu, 28th July, 10 p.m. Te Kooti left Te Kuiti on Monday, proceeding on the road to Mokau. The chief Reihaua proposed to Tawhiao to pursue Te Kooti and drive him to Taupo. Tawhiao, however, refused to accede to that course.
