Compton's Great Catch
LONDON, Mon. (11.20 a.m.).—D. C. S. Compton, the English test cricketer, is expected to receive between £II.OOO and £12,000 from his benefit matches and other events on the Compton Benefit programme during the past season. Middlesex players supported Compton nobly and took an average of £4OO at each of a series of seven special Sunday matches held for his benefit.
