New Solent Well Ahead Of Time
WELLINGTON, Tue. (P.A.).—Tasman Empire Airways’ Solent Ararangi is well ahead of time on its delivery flight from England and is expected to arrive at Auckland on Thursday afternoon, j Captain C G. Griffiths, chief pilot of the company is in command, and with him- is Captain Upton, route captain with BOAC as co-pilot.
Passengers include Captain K. 0. Brownjohn, operations manager for TEAL, Captain K. J. G. Bartlett, a director of the Bristol Aircraft Co., Mr W. Fames, sales manager. Mr L. G. Brister, technical representative of that company, Mr J. Atkinson, technical representative of Short Brothers and Harland, and Mr N. E. Higgs, New Zealand representative of that company.
