Wellington Supreme Court Session

WELLINGTON, Mon. (P.A.)—"There is a moderate number of indictments of which few arc particularly serious, though crime of any kind is serious in itself,” said the Chief Justice (Sir Humphrey O’Leary), in opening the criminal sessions of the Supreme Court in Wellington today. He was charging tile grand jury, the foreman of which was Sir Howard Kippenberger. No further general comment on the sessions was made by His Honor, who detailed listed offences to the grand jury.

They included, he said, two charges of negligent driving, one causing injury and the other death, two involving indecency, one charge of robbery with violence, one of forgery and false pretences, and eight involving dishonesty.
