Europe's Heat Wave
LONDON, Wed. (11.55 ami.).—Europe’s heat-wave conditions continued today. London’s temperature was several degrees lower than yesterday’s reading of 83, but conditions were humid. In Paris, Brussels and Berlin the temperature soared to over 80 degrees and forest fires were reported in country areas near cities. Heavy thunderstorms in several parts of Britain ended the week-old drought tonight. A number of roads were flooded.
