Britain Plans Trade With East Europe
• LONDON. Wed. (11 a.m.)— Britain is planning about £200,000,000 worth of trade with Soviet Russia and other Eastern European countries during the next 12 mon'hs to save herself dollars on wheat, coarse grains, poultry, eggs and other food, the Evening Standard.
Sir Stafford Cripps will give details of these negotiations to the Commonwealth Finance Ministers’ conference today. Trade talks are oeing held with Russia, Yugoslavia, Hungary and Czechoslovakia, and treaties are expected to be signed with these countries within the next few weeks.
