Pig Council Supervisor

Appointed to replace Mr H. H. Preston in the position of supervisor to the /Northland District Pig Council, Mr J. Wheeler, of Putaruru, was welcomed to the management committee meeting held in Whangarei today. ■ r The chairman (Mr F. D. Miller) said it was with considerable satisfaction that he was able to announce Mr Wheeler’s appointment, as the council realised that it would take a good man to replace Mr Preston. Mr Wheeler was one of eight applicants for the position. This number was reduced to three, and on the reports pf the Wellington and Waikato District Pig Councils he was asked to come, to Whangarei for an interview with the committee.
