Prisoners Sentenced
GISBORNE, Fri. (P.A.)— Prisoners were sentenced by Mr Justice Cornish In the Supreme Court today. Riwia Rapana, 28, widow, was given 12 months’ reformative detention for forgery and uttering. James Nepia, 20, labourer, and Sidney Beauchamp, 27, invalid pensioner, were found guilty of attempted rape. Nepia was sent to a Borstal institution for two years and Beauchamp received three years’ hard labour. Tom Collier, 26, labourer, was sentenced to two years’ hard labour on a charge ol incest.
