Progress Made With Flagstaff Hill Road
Further progress has been made in the negotiations for the legalisation of the road to the top of historic Flagstaff Hill, at Russell, according to advice received by Mr A. J. Murdoch, M.P., from the Minister of Internal Affairs (Mr Parry). Mr Murdoch said this morning that he had received a letter from Mr Parry in which it was stated that, as a result of negotiations between the Commissioner of Crown Lands and the Ministry of Works, it was hoped that proclamation plans providing for the dedication of the road would be proceeded with at an early date, thus enabling the road to be legalised.
