Predicts Victory For The Jews

AUCKLAND, Sat. (P.A.). —A hero of hazardous wartime adventures in Libya and Yugoslavia, Professor Lindsay Rogers, formerly of Dunedin and now superintendent of surgery at Baghdad Hospital and Medical School, left by air for Sydney to resume his work in Baghdad. “In my view the Jews will eventually get first the Jordan Valley and then all Palestine,” Dr Rogers said. Last March he visited the Holy Land to organise Arab medical units. Factors which resulted in setbacks to the Arabs, he added, were lack of cohesion in the high command, lack of heavy artillery, tanks, planes and heavy ammunition, the entrenchment of Jews behind the “Eden line” better organisation of the Jewish forces, and foreign aid for the Jews.
