Greeks Expect Markos Back
ATHENS, Sun. —The Greek General Staff states that the present campaign against the Markos rebels has concluded and operations have been reduced to mopping up.
The latest successes do not mark the end of the Greek civil war. Nationalist authorities believe that Markos may strike in the Vitsi sector with men reorganised and equipped in Albania and Yugoslavia. Also many pockets of Communist resistance remain elsewhere in Greece.
Fifteen hundred guerillas who fled into Albania later re-entered Greece near Vitsi.
