POSTAGE
WELLINGTON.—More money could be spent on food parcels for Britain if parcels were packed in bulk and shipped to England rathar than first sent
through the post office, said Mr A. J. Murdoch (O —Marsden) in the Address-in-Reply debate yesterday. Mr Murdoch said he had calculated from a recent statement by the Postmaster - General (Mr Hackett) that New Zealanders had spent £99.574 on postage on parcejß&iring a period of a ■TpPpnonths.
