Outnumbered But Drew
The Western juniors put up a splendid performance in drawing with Maungaturoto, 8-all, in the Otamatea competition on Saturday. They started off with 11 men and half-way through the first spell gained one recruit.
Maungaturoto led 8- nil at the interval, but then Western scored two tries, one of them converted. The other attempt at conversion struck the cross-bar and rebounded.
