Fleet- Of Ships To Move Wheat
SYDNEY, Wed. (1 p.m.)—About 155 ships will work for eight months to move Australia's huge surplus of wheat. To February and March alone, between 440 and 50 ships will be used to transport wheat overseas. Large quantities will go to Britain, France, Eire, India and Malaya.
The estimates are based on the assumption that the Commonwealth wheat surplus will be between 180,000,000 and 190,000,000 bushels and that resources are adequate to store and move the harvest.
