At the last meeting of the Poroti Women’s Institute a vote of sympathy with the relatives of the late Mr J. Norris was Ca Mrs d ßlackstock was chosen to be president for the day. .. ... It was decided that group meetings with other branches be arranged ana that Maungatapere be invited to the birthday celebrations in October. On the motion of Mrs Oldfield, seconded bv Mrs Jamieson, a vote of thanks to Miss R. Suester for typing programmes was carried with acclamation. The roll call, “The Ideal Family, caused much merriment, the majority favouring *°The darning competition was won by M Winriers C of the other competitions were: Best vegetable, Mrs Jamieson; best flower, Mrs Jack; rolling shilling, Mrs Suester. After tea was served by Mrs Snell. Mrs Oldfield read the mail box.
