The monthly meeting of the Kamo Women’s Institute was held in the hall. Mis Markwick presided over a good attenH' Carruth gave a talk on her experiences overseas. Her collection of souvenirs was very much admired. A present was made to Mrs Shone who leaving the district. The prize for best-worked apron went to Mrs Thorburn, with Mrs Dinsdale second and Mrs Langridge third. Best cabbage* Mrs Martel 1. Best cauliflower: Mrs Young 1- Mrs Aston 2, Mrs Leese 3. Best aprorr Mrs Young 1, Mrs Lowe 2, Mrs Campbell 3. Best bloom: Mrs G. Richards ? Mrs Appleby 2. Mrs Boswell 3. 'The hostesses for the afternoon were Mesdames G. Richards, Yern and Whimp.
