Strenuous Tests For Golf Clubs
A new type of all-plastic golf clubhead recently made its first appearance at the Dunwoodie Golf Club, Yonkers, New York. The clubhead had been subjected to 6600 drives in an automatic driving machine. Then the plastic’s resistance to changes in atmospheric conditions was tested by a “weatherometer" machine in which it was given showers of water every 20 minutes, and heated to 200 degrees and cooled to 20 degrees below zero (Fahrenheit). . .
