Doctor Praises Britain's Climate
Britain’s climate is among the most health-giving in the world, and this is most conducive to longevity. This is the considered opinion of the noted health expert, Sir Adolphe Abrahams, who holds the post of physician to Westminster Hospital, London.
Writing in the medical journal The Practitioner Sir. Adolphe says that in considering the convalescent requirements it is more important to know the frequency rather than the total quantity of rain. The brightest and more exhilarating climates are not the best for health and longevity.
The average number of days on which there is rain in Bi'itain vary from nine a month on the South Coast in September to 27 in North Scotland during December. For those in search of restful and health-giving holidays in Britain at different times of the year SirAdolDhe makes these suggestions.
In spring the Cornish Riviera, in summer the New Forest, in autumn the valley of the River Severn or North Wales, and in winter Cornwall.
