Finn Officers On Trial...
(Rec. 10.30.) HELSINKI, March 28. The Helsinki trial has opened of 22 Finnish staff officers, accused of forming a secret army to fight Russia “if war broke out between Russia and the Western powers.” i The accused include Generals Aksel Airo and Ainar Makinen. The Finnish Ministry of the Interior arrested General Airo in June, 1945. after discovery of secret arms dumps.
