• Rec. 1.30 p.m.) BRISBANE, This Day As the result of a hilarious party enjoyed by female prisoners in Stuart Creek gaol, near Townsville, the host. Edward Clarence Long. 38, will serve a sentence of nine months and two gaol officials have been, suspended irom duty.

Long was released after serving a year’s sentence and felt sp happy about it that he decided to entertain the friends he had left behind.

He bought up a large supply of food and drinks, scaled the wall, re-entered the gaol and turned on a party for the female prisoners. The aftermath included a visit by the Comptroller of Prisons and reports to the Attorney-General.
