Will Hot Extradite Russian Official
(Rec. 1 p.m.) WASHINGTON, Jan. 21. On the ground that there is no extradition treaty between the two countries, the United States rejected a Russian request that it extradite Kiril Alexeiev. former Russian Embassy official at Mexico City, who criticised the "dictatorship” in his homeland.
Moscow subsequently charged Alexeiev with embezzlement of state funds and asked that he be surrendered to stand trial.
