Building Labourers Urged To Go Slow
(P.A.) ‘ AUCKLAND, This Day. Labourers engaged in building trades in Auckland are to be urged to follow a go-slow policy from November 14, according to a decision at a stop-work meeting of a group of quarryworkers this morning.
The meeting was held to protest at the objection lodged by employers with the Arbitration Court to the new Building and Allied Trades Labourers’ Award.
The meeting was the first to be held following the resolution by the Auckland Labourers’ Union that an immediate go-slow policy be observed in the event of any section of employers not fulfilling the undertaking by their assessors at the award conciliation proceedings.
