Less Food, Less Coal
(Rec. 1 p.m.) LONDON, April 1 German coal output in the British zone in Germany in the last week of March showed a fall of 150,000 tons compared with the week before rations were cut on March 4. Production has gone down steeply for four successive weeks and, a serious situation is developing. Last week’s output, amounting to 925,606 tons, was 20,000 tons below the previous week.
