Peron Dominates Argentine Poll

BUENO£ AIRES, April 1. Final returns in the Argentine elections show that the established parties have been heavily defeated. The Socialists, for the first time in 34 years, have been eliminated from Congress. The Communists also failed to win a seat.

The Conservatives won only thrae seats in the Lower House. The Radicals, whose middle-of-the-road party was once the rqost powerful in Argentina, won 44 seats.

Supporters of Colonel Peron won 109 seats in the Lower House and all 30 Senate seats except two, which are still in doubt.

Reports published in Buenos Aires make it clear that Britain and many Latin-American countries have decided to recognise Colonel Juan Peron’s Government, says the New York Herald Tribune’s correspondent
