Hitler's Own Idea
(Rec. 10.30 a.m.) PRAGUE. Mar. 31. Giving evidence before the People’s Court, Karl Frank said the vengeance killing of 1000 Czechs after Heydrich's assassination in 1942 was “Hitler's personal idea.” The trial has begun at Dachau of 60 former members of the staff of the Mauthausen concentration camp, from seven different countries, who are charged with violating the laws and usages of war. It is alleged that they subjected many thousands of people from 18 countries, including British and American prisoners of war, to killings, beatings, tortures, starvation, abuses and indignities.
