Outsize In Eggs
If eggs weighing more than four ounces are considered outsize, those produced by a white leghorn owned by Mr J. P. Woods, of Apirana Avenue, certainly qualify for that description.
This week the hen produced two outsize eggs, one of which weighed 41 ounces and the other 41 ounces. The shells of the eggs have a fairly coarse grain, but they seem to be of a normal thickness. It is understood that the hen has not produced such large eggs before.
