McKechnie has resumed duty as medical superintendent of the Mangonui County Public Hospital at Kaitaia, following treatment in an Auckland hospital and eonvalescence at Rotorua. , The death has occurred in Dublin of General Eoin O’Dufy, aged 52, engineer and architect. An I.R.A. member, he was G.O.C. of Eire forces 1924-25, and organised and led the Irish Brigade which fought on the side of General Franco.
