Security Censorship
(Special) WELLINGTON. This Day. “It is not expected that it will be possible to remove entirely internal censorship until the termination of hostilities with all our present enemies, and particularly the conclusion of the war against Japan, although it has already been greatly relaxed," said the Prime Minister (Mr. Fraser), replying in the House of Representatives to an inquiry by Mr. W. J. Eroadfoot (Oppn., Waitomo). The censorship, he added, was maintained solely for security reason." —to prevent the communication of anything that might prejudice the success of military operations or the safety of shipping.
