Must Push Merits Of Natural-grown Wool
(Rec. 11.30 a.m.) LONDON, April 26
British manufacturers as well as Australia, New Zealand and South Africa, whose prosperity is largely dependent on the wool trade, would benefit from the use of wool in a wider range of products, said the Australian High Commissioner (Mr. S. M. Bruce) at a gathering of manufacturers and others at the “Travel on Wool” exhibiUon.
Mr. Bruce pdded that to ensure prosperity after the war it would not be enough to rely on self-sufficiency. There would have to be co-operation to bring prosperity to all nations.
Mr. Bruce believed that woolgrcwers should do more to convince the public of (he outstanding merits of wool which is facing the strongest competition from markedly inferior products.
Exhibits'from the London exhibitions will be sent to Australia and New Zealand to show wool growers what is being done with their products.
