BRITAIN’S OLDEST NURSE DIES
LONDON, April 25.
Britain’s oldest nurse, Mrs Rebecca Strong, 0.8. E., lias died, aged 101. She was one of Florence Nightingale’s first students at St. Thomas’ Hospital Nursing School after the Crimean War. She was bombed out of her Glasgow home in 1941. but continued to knit for the forces until a fortnight before her death.
