Sydney Relaxes Air Raid Precautions

(Rec. 1 p.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. T :, .e Stale Government has decided to permit the immediate removal of boards and wire-netting covering windows of shops and business premises as a precaution against air-raids.

The Minister for National Emergency Services (Mr. Heffron) said that there would be no compulsion and business people could do the work at their own convenience. The improved war position had made it possible to relax the regulations, said the Minister, and boarding-up and shatter-proofing ol‘ windows was no longer regarded as necessary in London.
