The Minister for Education (Mr. Mason) and Mrs. Mason, who visited Whangarei on Saturday for the official opening of the Whangarei High School girls' new hostel and school, returned to Auckland yesterday afternoon, en route for -Wellington. The Minister, who is also acting-Minister for Native Affairs, and his under-secretary (Mr. Jones) inspected native land in the Motatau and Kawakawa districts yesterday morning.
