Japs. Critical To U.S. Negotiations
(Rec. 2.30 p.m.) NEW YORK, Oct. G. Complaining that Japan is choking from the effect of trade suspension with the United States and Britain, the Japanese Press has adopted an increasingly critical attitude towards the Japanese-American diplomatic negotiations, reports the Tokio correspondent of the United Press of America. He adds that the Counsellor to the Japanese Embassy (Mr. K. Wakasugi) is en route for Washington hearing special instructions to the Ambassador (Admiral Nomura). Informed circles, however, say that there is no immediate prospect of an understanding between the two countries.
