Ruakaka

One Tree Point held the usual weekly social in the social hall on Saturday last. Although the weather was unsettled, there was an increased attendance. Progressive euchre was played till tiie hour of 10. followed by supper and dancing. Dance music was provided by Mr. A. Cosgrave (accordion) and Mr. .1. Finlayson (bagpipes). A feature of these social gatherings is the revival of the lancers. The M.C. was Mr. A. McKenzie. The lucky card winners were Mrs. Patterson (ladies' prize) and Mr. H. Pirihi (gentlemen’s).
