Australian Exports Naval Armaments
(Rec. 2.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. The Minister for the Navy (Mr, W. M. Hughes), in a statement, said Australia is manufacturing large supplies of naval armaments for export as well as for ships of the Australian navy. The production of naval armaments this year is twice as great as for the previous year. The Prime Minister (Mr. Fadden), announced in Canberra that the Australian High Commissioner in London (Mr. S. M. Bruce) had been asked to find out what supplies the Soviet v/ants from Australia.
