Twenty-First Birthday Party

At the residence of Mr. H. R. Monkhouse last Saturday evening a very enjoyable party was held when over 80 guests were present to celebrate Mrs. Jim Noone’s twenty-first birthday. Mr. Owen Dickinson supplied the music accompanied by Mr. Peter Ott, Mr. B. Tavlor and Mr. B. Humphreys. Interludes of comical sketches were given by Mr. H. Gribble. The hula was danced bv Miss Mina Ott while her brother, Mr. Peter Ott, supplied the music. Novelty games were played, the prizewinners being Miss J. Shaw, Mrs. F. Haybittle, Mrs. T. Nott and Mrs. B. Noone. Other prizes were won by Miss Mina Ott, Mr. F. Morgan, Mr. Les Dent. Mr. B. Bradshaw, Mr. E. Noone and Mr. Walter Mcnkhouse. After the cutting of the birthday cake, Mr. George Baker proposed a toast to Mrs. Noone. Mr. Jim Noone suitably replied on behalf of his wife, thanking the guests for their good wishes and many pleasing gifts which were on display. Mrs. Noone was then presented with a large gold key, which was handed round for the guests to autograph their names. The evening closed with the singing of “Auld Lang Syne.’’
