Waikino Case; Suspect Remanded

When few onlookers were in the public portion of the Police Court, Douglas Herbert Cartman, 22, a trucker, arrested at Waihi on May 1, was charged this morning before Mr C. R. Orr-Walker, S.M., that on April 2,’ at Waikino, he did murder Alice Elizabeth Hamilton. This is his first appearance in Auckland. Detective-Sergeant McHugh obtained a remand by consent to May 30. Mr F. McCarthy appeared for Cartman.
