Appreciate Mr. Murdoch’s Services

Appreciation of Mr A. J. Murdoch’s services as representative of No. 1 Ward on N.Z. Dairy Board was placed on record at yesterday’s meeting in Whangarei. The conference also pledged him support in the coming election. Mr J. W. Hoskin (Oruru-Fairburn) said that Mr Murdoch’s term expired at the end of June, and the time was opportune for a representative of the dairy industry to voice their appreciation of the valuable work done by him on their behalf. At present, Mr Hoskin said men of experience were necessary in the higher administration of the industry, and it would be to the advantage both to the ward and to New Zealand if Mi- Murdoch’s services were retained. Seconding the vote, which was carried by acclamation, Mr F. Elliott (Hikurangi) described Mr Murdoch as a practical man, who knew intimately the problems of the dairy farmer, whose interests he had at heart.
