Fighting Services Fund
The Salvation Army Secretary for Field Affairs in New Zealand (Colonel Burton) arrived in Whangarei today in connection with the great appeal which is being handled by the Salvation Army and the Y.M.C.A. to raise a Fighting Services Welfare Fund of £ 100,000.
The colonel has been contacting sympathisers in this district in order that the scheme, when launched here, shall have the ground prepared for it. He leaves Whangarei tomorrow.
