Stedman, Tennis Star, Joins Up

[Special to ’’Northern Advocate”] AUCKLAND, This Day. One of the finest tennis players New Zealand has produced, A. C. Stedman, has up, and will go into camp as a Third Echelon non-commissioned officer. He has held the Auckland and New Zealand singles, doubles and combined doubles events. In 1937 *he represented New Zealand in the Davis Cup team of that year. Leave.—A. message from London says that army leave has been restored in Holland, according to an Amsterdam message.
