Half-Million Visit Exhibition
[Special to “Northern Advocate ”] WELLINGTON, This Day.
The number of people who have so far visited the Centennial Exhibition now exceeds 500,000. The five hundred thousandth visitor was admitted on Tuesday evening, the total for that day being 10,598, bringing the attendance for the 36 days to 505,460. There are indications that attendances by visitors to Wellington will be even greater than had been expected. The general manager of the Exhibition Company (Mr. C. P. Hainsworth) is of the opinion that in the holiday period, and till the end of February, visitors may be more numerous than the Wellington patrons.
