Young Cattle Sell Well At Paparoa
There was a moderate yarding at Messrs Dalgety and Company’s Paparoa sale on Thursday, and under good competition there was practically a total clearance at auction, young cattle selling better than at previous sales.
Dairy cows, good, made from £7 5/ to £8 10/; older and more backward, £4 to £6; dairy heifers, medium, £4 to £6; good fat cows, £6 10/ to £7; lighter, £5 to £6 5/; small fat steers, £6 to £7 10/; empty Shorthorn cows, to £4 4/; yearling Shorthorn steers good, to £3 17/6; smaller, £2 9/ to £3; small yearling heifers, £2 13/ to £2 17/; boner cows, heavy, £3 to £4; lighter, £2 5/ to £2 10/; boner bulls, £4 10/ to £7, according to weight.
