Nazi Forces Still Concentrated On Neutral Borders
LONDON November 30,
There have been no extensive modifications of the disposition of the German troops in the neighbourhood of the Belgian and Dutch borders, says the special correspondent of the “Daily Telegraph” on the Western Front.
Germany, on November 11, had three great military concentrations on the borders, comprising five armies. Firstly there were two armies south of Aachen,- whose objective it was to flank the northern end of the Maginot Line.
Secondly there were two armies north of Aachen and one in
Aachen, whose objective was to surround the fortress of Liege.
The disposition of these armies made possible a march toward the French positions in the Moselle and Saar, or across the Belgian and Dutch borders. The Paris night .communique stated that no important incident had occuri’ed on the front.
There was harassing fire from the French artillery and a few patrol encounters.,
