U.S. Bombers To Be Flown Across Atlantic
NEW YORK, November 29,
The aviation editor of the “New York Times” .learns on excellent authority that the American bombers ordered by Britain and France will be flown across the Atlantic from a huge Canadian air base now being prepared. It is expected the base will be one of the largest and most modern in the world.
The west to east prevailing winds, the minimum distance of 2000 miles ahd the excellent facilities for blind flying in bad winter weather are believed to actuate this step, which is designed to avoid the North Sea and North Atlantic shipping difficulties.
