Firmness Needed In Building By-laws

It was time the borough council took a stand regarding the breaking Of by-laws relating to the building of garages, said Cr. L. Reynolds last night. He was speaking at the council’s monthly meeting.

Mr S. Kokich, Kauika Road, had been written to requesting that ho dismantle an extension to a garage, reported the engineer, Mr I. A. Cromie.

The extension, measuring 12ft \ . square, had been greeted in wood and iron, which was contrary to the bylaws.

It was recommended that a request be made for portion of the extension to foe rebuilt in brick or concrete, and this was adopted.
